All three competitors, plus 2017 World Chef Champion Craig Baker, are automatically qualified for the 2020 World Food Championships.\u00a0Despite leaving Dallas without an individual champion,\u00a0Team Indiana has a\u00a0significant\u00a0part to play in the staging of this year\u2019s Final Table\u2014scheduled for May 8-10 in Indianapolis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turon Cummings, a resident of Whiting, IN, came second in the\nWorld Burger Championship with a mango, pineapple, and bacon\nburger.&nbsp;Fellow Northern Indiana competitor Jennifer Norem (Knox, IN)\nplaced second in the Bacon World Championship,&nbsp;with a Southwest-inspired\nmeatball taco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"http:\/\/teamind2019dev.solutions4ebiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Jennifer-Norem-Bacon-Final-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1179\" srcset=\"http:\/\/teamind2019dev.solutions4ebiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Jennifer-Norem-Bacon-Final-980x653.jpg 980w, http:\/\/teamind2019dev.solutions4ebiz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Jennifer-Norem-Bacon-Final-480x320.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><figcaption>Chef Jennifer Norem competed alongside her family. They were visited in Dallas by\nIndiana Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch, who attended the event&nbsp;and\njoined WFC CEO Mike McCloud to announce the selection of Indianapolis as host\nfor The Final Table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>\u201cOur capital city and the entire State of Indiana welcomes the World Food Championships and we are proud to have this unique opportunity to showcase the &#8216;Culinary Crossroads of America\u2019&#8221;<\/p><cite>Lt. Gov.
